Health And Safety Policy It is the policy of Katoll Metals and Industrial Products Limited that its operations be executed at all times in such a way as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the health, safety and welfare of all its employees and all other persons who may be affected by its operations, including sub-contractors and the public, are protected, and to provide the necessary training and information to ensure that this policy is carried out. We expect that all employees will actively initiate and pursue ways and means of making the working environment as safe and healthy as possible. It is the responsibility of ALL employees to comply with their legal, moral and Company safety obligations. It is our policy that safety is communicated effectively to all employees by the provision of such information and training as is necessary to ensure that, as far as is reasonably practicable , the health and safety at work of all our employees and others who might be affected by our operations is protected. It is our view that most accidents can be prevented by adherence to these policies and by all concerned taking a positive approach to safety, this approach requires in particular that as a company we ensure that: All plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition Safe methods of work are adopted at all times Safe and healthy working conditions are provided All employees receive the necessary training and information to enable them to perform their duties in a safe and healthy manner Within the warehouse all materials are stored, handled and transported in a safe manner Employees are provided with information and training in the handling of all materials, particularly those that have been identified as requiring precautions and/or the employment of personal protective equipment All statutory and company safety regulations are observed at all times All accidents (whether or not they result in injury) are carefully reported and recorded Steps are taken to eliminate the causes of all accidents or to take effective preventive action Employees and any sub-contractors are made aware of hazards and of the control measures adopted to prevent injury or ill health The correct safety equipment and protective clothing is properly used The company co-operates fully with the safety representatives appointed by any others working at or having responsibility for a shared environment
